Access Lalitpur
Christmas Celebration in Lalitpur
Lalitpur-based Access students from the Third Cohort, Access teachers and ex-students from the Alumni celebrated the Christmas program at Lagankhel, Lalitpur on December 25, 2013 at 4:30 PM on Wednesday. At first, Access students gathered at the Access center at 4:30. The Access teachers presented a PowerPoint presentation on the history of celebrating the Christmas festival and highlighted its importance. The students were shown a video on the birth of Jesus Christ.
Six ex-students from the Access Alumni Association helped the Access students to make the Reindeer hat. The Access students found it interesting since they had never made the hat before. The ones who finished first played a game called fixing the Reindeer's nose on a big chart paper which was fixed on the wall. They were blind-folded and had to fix the nose of the reindeer on the picture. The ones who could fix the nose were provided with small prizes.
Finally, everyone sang the song Jingle Bells, danced on the music and cut a Christmas cake. The Access Alumni Members shared their experiences with the Access students from NELTA Lalitpur. Students were excited to take part in such a program. For many of them, it was the first Christmas celebration in their life.
