Emily Horne, Spokesperson, South Central Asia, Washington DC, visited Access Center on July 13, 2012. MS. Horne talked to the Access teaching faculty and NELTA executive committee members. In the meeting, NELTA president briefly highlighted the contribution that the American Embassy and RELO are doing to promote the NELTA activities. After that, Ms. Horne talked to the Access students of both the groups of first cohort. The students were highly delighted to see Ms. Horne in their class. They presented the flowers, paintings, and bouquet to Ms. Horne and sang the song that they learned in their classroom. The students told them about their experience of being Access students and requested her to tell about her educational, professional, and personal background. Similarly, they also asked her about her hobbies, interest and shared their own. Moreover, some students had very serious interaction with her about modern and ancient history. At the end, they requested her and Mr. Fife McDuff to join them to sing the action “Making Melody in my Heart.”
