Teach me to learn… by Jay Prakash Chaudhary, Access Bhairahawa
You teach me to learn which I couldn’t learn As a potter does to its pot. When I am disheartened make me smile, As a mirror does to its profile. When I am lost, show me the way, As a devotee gets to his pray. When I am in worry, give me the pride, As a groom does to his bride. Do not judge me by the marks I have obtained, Judge me by the efforts that I have made. Do not insult me in front of my friends, Let me learn my mistake and way to mend. Let me learn to live and live to learn, Before it could be too late to mourn.

The Wolf and Lamb by Bishal Thapa, Access Kathmandu A wolf was once drinking water at a stream. And lower down the same river a lamb too was drinking water. The wolf saw the lamb. At the sight of the lamb the wolf became greedy. Its mouth began to water. So it went to the lamb and said angrily, how dare you to dirty the water that I am drinking. The little lamb was very frightened. It said meekly,” Pardon me sir. How can I make the water dirty for you? It is running from your end towards me.” The lamb was right and the wolf knew it. But the wolf wanted to carry on the fight. The intention was to kill the lamb. So it said, “You rascal call me names last year. I will not spare you for that” .The little lamb was trembling with fear. But it gathered courage and said, “Sir, I was not even born last year. I think you are being mistaken.” At this the wolf flew into a rage. It said well! If you were not born then surely it must have been your father or mother who said so. Saying this he pounced on the lamb and killed it.
Experience is the best thing the ever born in the world by Diwas Pandey, Access Gorkha Long ago there was a son and his father. They lived in a village. The father’s name is Hariram and the son is Hari. They were very poor. In the name of property, they had a small hut. They led their life by doing hard labor. In that state there was a law. That law was to take old people to jungle who couldn’t work properly. If it was not obeyed by people they were given more punishment. The old people became helpless. They died in the jungle by hunger and thirst. Hariram became old and could not do work properly. According to the law of that state, Hari took his father to the jungle. When Hariram was in the back of Hari he threw some soft branches of tree because he thought that his son has difficulty to reach home. After a long journey they reached in the center of the forest. There was a small pond of water. He made small hut there. He gave his father food which he had brought. Men he asked his father permission to return home. His father said that he had thrown branches of tree in the way. So it could be easy to reach home for him. When he heard that he couldn’t leave his father. He cried a lot because he would love his father. He couldn’t leave his father at last so he brought his father back from the jungle. He made a plan to keep his father secretly. He kept him very secretly. After some days a Mayer of that state declared to give a prize of ash. Hari told it to his father. Then Hariram gave some ideas about it to his son. According to his father he brought wood having plain surface and he made a rope of dry straw. He hammered a nail at the end of that wood. Then he tied a rope of straw in the nail and he burnt that rope. That straw changed into ash. Then he took that wood without moving (vibrating) it. Then he gave it to the Mayer. Mayer became happy because it was the satisfactory answer. But he didn't want to give any price. Instead at price he gave him another problem. That was stick having equal round at all parts to find top and bottom. Hari told his father about the problem. His father told him not to worry. He gave idea about it. According to his father’s suggestion he tied a thread in center at that stick and sank in a well. According to his father which part sank in water first became top and another became bottom. Then he took it to Mayer. Hari gave satisfactory answer to the Mayer. Again the Mayer gave another problem to him. He had to make him a musical instrument which they could not to play at all. He told this to his father. His Father told him not to worry. Then he gave some idea about it. According to his father he brought a log and made it hollow. Then he brought animal skin and closed from both sides. In that log, he kept a bee. There was a small hole from where bee could respire but couldn’t go in and out. Then he took that to the Mayer. When Mayer took it, it vibrated. The bee inside it started to buzz. When a bee flew here and there it hit the leather and a very sweet sound of music was produced. The Mayer listened to it. Then he got puzzled. The Mayer asked about the reality with Hari. Hari thought that he was in the toughest situation of his life. He didn't want to get the prize and didn't want to tell truth. But the Mayer didn't accept. Then he thought. If he told truth he would get punishment. And he was not about to tell a lie with the Mayer. At last he told the truth. And, requested the Mayer not to punish him and his father. Then the Mayer got puzzled. He called the helper and asked about that law. The helper said that it was low from many years ago. The Mayer hadn’t known about it. Then he ordered not to take old people to jungle. He said, they were our good soldiers spread his massage to the whole state. Then Hari was married with the daughter of the Mayer. Then Hari became king. Then Hariram and Hari lived happily thereafter.
Discipline is the balance of the mind and character which aims at producing self-control, obedience, sincerity, honesty etc. We have to obey some rules and regulation in all activities. It makes us follow our cultural values and norms. Discipline is equally important everywhere. The people who obey rules sincerely and honestly are called disciplined. And if they do not follow them they are said to be undisciplined. Civilized people are disciplined. It is said that discipline leads us to success; undisciplined people lead themselves to failure. Disciplined people are heartily welcomed, liked and loved by others. Discipline helps us to complete our duties and responsibilities properly. Discipline is said to be at the root of any success. Discipline teaches us to be great in the world. Discipline is equally important for all. It is equally important in school, home and class. Teenagers & Drugs by Santosh Neupane, Access Gorkha
All individual passes through the different stages of life. Among the different stages of our life teen age is the most important stage. This stage is supposed to be a golden period of life, just like a spring season full of beautiful flowers. It is a window through which we can see our future. This stage begins at the age of thirteen and ends at nineteen. In short, a person who is between 13 and 19 is called teenager. It is the changing period of an individual from childhood to adolescence. In this period, different changes occur in the physical and mental conditions of a person. Teenagers are definitely more curious, active and excited to learn new things. They want to do new things using their own ability. However, drug abuse has been labeled as a very shocking issue. Drugs are the substances that are used as medicine if used in limit but overuse of medicine becomes a drug for a person. In this present time” Teenagers and Drugs" have become co related term. Our world is stepping towards the modern age. Different steps have been taken for the betterment of teenagers. Though this has been done to improve the condition of the teens, there are still different problems. Today from different community, it is estimated that around 15% of the teenagers are activated not only to drugs but have included themselves in having like smoking & syringing which are also different kinds of addiction. Some of the drugs are cocaine, heroin, opium, brown sugar, hashish etc. Teenagers are victimized and badly intoxicated by drugs. If we try to find reasons, they take to have peaceful mind, happiness, to take imitation from other friends and elders, etc. But i don't think that they are good answer. How can a man use such things who is well known to the side effect to taking drug? To some extent, it may give them temporary satisfaction but they have to suffer from permanent infection. Actually drug is the main issue for bringing violence in the community. First we addict it then after it will addict us. Once we are addicted to it then it is difficult to get rid of it. If a person takes it one time, he/she will take it another time too, and next it takes them as a habit. It harms our quality of life and also produces instability, irritation, fatigue and infertility. Drug Abuse causes like murders, theft and robbery and so on. Besides these, teenagers can be the victims of fatal diseases like AIDS and Hepatitis B. So we can easily predict how dangerous the drugs can be. It can make someone get ready to kill someone. Teenagers may even commit suicide in their extreme stage of drug if it is hard. To blame on any incident after it is attempted. Prevention is better than cure. As said, we should prevent them from taking drugs. For the prevention of using drugs, every individuals, society, organization and government should be responsible. All the teenagers should be provided good care, guidance by the parents, teachers and society. The government should launch rehabilitation and reformation program and should implement strict rules and punishment to the drugs suppliers. Hence, the teenagers are the soft clay and the future of parents and nation builders so they should be kept safe and away from the use of drugs.
